Halloween Candy Bouquets

I've decided to make candy bouquets for some coworkers and friends.  The dollar store had most of the items 4 plastic Halloween cups for a dollar, round foam (2 in a package) which are perfect for  the cups, a dollar each.  curling ribbon 5 in a package for a dollar, 2 bags of candy from the dollar store (not such a great selection for what I wanted so I only grabbed a couple there). 
I did have to go to Michael's for glue for the glue gun and a few decorations to add to the bouquet.  Oh and I got the crafting grass at the dollar store as well. 
This picture is the start of the bouquet, I will take another once it's complete.  The "Boo" is a wooden extra I found at Michael's for .69 cents.  I think the most expensive part of this will be the candy, but I'd be buying that anyways to hand out at work. 

Quick but cute decorations for Halloween

This quick crafting idea cost me $4.00 to do.  I found the black plates at goodwill for .99 cents each, the set of three face stickers at goodwill as well for .50 and the wall sticker was at  goodwill for .50.  Not exactly elegant but the kids think they are cool.  The plate rack is on my dining room wall, I can change the plates for each season.  I guess a fraction of the spiderweb can be included in this but I used so little, I got 1 bag at the dollar store for $1.00.

My finds today!

So today I found 3 black dinner plates at goodwill and a sheet with three Halloween stickers on them with eyes and Halloween sayings.  Each one fit on the plate very nicely and perhaps don't have that sophisticated Halloween look I was wanting to go for but a funner more child like look.  I will have to take pictures and post.  They boys love them and they are ok for the rest of my apartment, if it was too 'sophisicated' my boys wouldn't feel at home anyways.  LOL

My Crafting and Cooking Creativity Has Been Restored!

This is a very basic first time post of a blog.  Once fall comes I tend to start to feel the creative juices flowing and in the past few years regretfully have squashed the "withering flame" so to speak, due to life's challenges.  Even now my life seems complicated and my inner person screams for peace, and in retrospect I remembered part of what brought me peace and calm and it was my love of crafting, creating and cooking.  So I am making time to once again kindle the fire of a lost love of creativity. 
So stay tuned and hopefully I will be posting some lovely things I enjoy making.  ;)
